Geoscience and Petroleum Engineering Week - GPEW

Geoscience and Petroleum Engineering Week (GPEW) is an event held every semester with the objective of celebrating the achievements and the quality of students from the petroleum engineering and petroleum geosciences departments. Organised by SPE-UTP-SC, GPEW this year will act as a platform to improve knowledge, technical skills and soft skills among UTP students who participate in the seminars and exhibitions held.

The Geoscience and Petroleum Engineering Week (GPEW’10) 2010 was introduced to provide answers and insights to the matter that rises in the Oil and Gas Industry. GPEW’10 also focuses on increasing the society’s awareness about what the industry have to offer to them.

GPEW’10 will serve as the platform for the future young professionals to succeed in today's petroleum industry. The goal is to assist in finding the right career path through exhibition, interactive team discussions, panel discussions, mentoring opportunities, and keynote observations from corporate executives. The roadshow will help those to explore all options in this multi-discipline industry and choose which discipline suits them best. GPEW’10 will also help promote the Geosciences & Petroleum Engineering Department and the courses offered to all students.
